if using west side park 06, with 1-8 singles ratings and 1-6 hr ratings and you were drafting a team for that park- would you draft stronger pitchers or hitters for that park?

Most would agree that you need a good bunch of arms for that park, but I don’t think that means you have to use your top picks for pitchers. I’ve had some very good luck with the drafts of my last few teams, especially my most recent one at Dodger Stadium ’65. Of course, I wanted a great starting staff but I went for key position players in (I think it was) my 1st four picks. As it turned out, I got exactly the infield I wanted – as well as the catcher and all the starting OFer’s but one. I wound up with a pitching staff I like, too.

Certain positions, esp. SS and 2B, don’t have nearly as many guys to choose from – guys who are truly good with the lumber and the leather – as other positions. So if getting top players for these positions is a priority, use your high (first and second?) picks to try to get them.

Yes, you want a fine pitching staff, but you may want to consider using the minority of your top 10 picks for pitchers. [i:1db82d4f9a]There will be plenty of good ones left over for the taking.[/i:1db82d4f9a]

Just my humble opinion.
