Which team is worse

Which team is worse

Postby nevdully's » Mon Feb 06, 2006 9:58 pm

I'm starting 4 new teams this week (3 in Fenway '86) and I've tried a few different things. I really think these teams will struggle. They should score nice, but starting pitching is scary (not even the right cheapies) They could lose 8-6 quite a bit.

I've never had much success winning with Mantle, and haven't used Schmidt in a l-o-n-g time. Wagner who usually misses 35+ games and struggles to hit .310 for me is back on one team too.

Any guesses what records they'll end up with? Which team might be best, worst? Will any make the playoffs, or lose 95?

Hey Nev,

Alright.... far be it for me to lay judgment on THE Nev... but I will anyway.

Endings 2: Good hitters, but is there enough power? I usually see more power in that park. And, man, that bullpen is gonna get a LOT of work.

Endings 3: I like this team more. I wonder if you're gonna get much from Devore and Rice here though. But I think the pitching is better.

Endings 4: Apparently you are facing a lot of lefty hitters in this league. At least, with Bing, being a righty balances with Devore's lefty. Really not a lot of power after Mantle and Mathews. And that staff is gonna need micromanaging like I could never find the time to do.
This is the team that I think will have the worst record.

BOOM SIX: If that OF does not generate 450 runs, 450 rbi and 200 HRs I would be SHOCKED.

Oh... and HOW have you been getting Musial AND Mathews consistently!?!?

I got Mathews in a trade on one team, and Musial once wasn't even drafted! :D  8)

Season Endings on Happy Endings

Postby nevdully's » Tue Apr 11, 2006 1:58 am

4 fun teams to manage and even 1 Title winner...... :)

Happy Endings 2 94-68 and a Title winner (yeah!)

Happy Endings 3 90-72 but lost in the semi

Happy Endings 4 82-80 last place, but only 5 games out in a tough, fun division (I loved this team)

BOOM SIX 81-81 and the most frustrating of the bunch as once again I can't find a way to win with Mantle (oh well)
