Why don't I ever draft this guy?

Granted, this is on a last place team hopefully out of the Barnstormer Finals, but check this streak out by the fabulous, the unstoppable Dan Osinski, he of the 9R and nickel salary fame:

Last 10 games
Game Opp Role W L S IP H ER BB SO
Game 129 LEG relief 0 0 1 1.0 0 0 1 1
Game 125 POO relief 0 0 1 .2 0 0 0 0
Game 123 BEA relief 1 0 0 2.0 0 0 0 0
Game 121 BEA relief 0 0 1 1.0 0 0 0 0
Game 109 UMB relief 0 0 1 1.0 1 0 0 2
Game 108 SWI relief 0 0 1 1.0 1 0 0 1
Game 105 CAN relief 0 0 1 .2 0 0 0 0
Game 98 GER relief 0 0 1 .1 0 0 0 0
Game 97 GER relief 0 0 1 1.0 0 0 0 0
Game 93 MIS relief 1 0 0 1.0 0 0 1 1

10 appearances, 2 wins, 8 saves, 4 baserunners, zero runs. Guess he can be effective in a RH closer role with the right settings.

BTW - the message board curse is irrelevant for a team playing .420 ball, so curse away, Gods of HAL.

I am hoping this means I won't regret Pina and his 8R on my Barnstormers squad. He should be more than twice as good since he cost me more than double. Nice numbers!!!!!

They will curse you with a 30 game winning streak and then a 10 game losing streak to miss the playoffs. Do not underestimate their power.

I've used Osinski many times. He is quite effective if you can keep him away from lefties. I like him in the RH set up role. HAL likes to close with him against RH/LH on occasion. Keep close tabs on him......

I try and get Mr Osinski in every draft, if I miss him he gets cut sometimes and then you can include him as a throw in, in a trade. My question is, for the price and 8R you would think there would be several other pitchers like him, but they all seem to have a 'more' terrible card vs lh batters. I have used Al Worthington in similar roles, he is relatively cheap 1.8m, but for 500k Mr Osinski is the bomb!!

Yes but......there are those times that Os gets major clocked 3 or 4 games in a row....have him on one team and his ERA went from 3.10 to 5.90 in no time....

You don't draft him because you know I'll always have him, much like Tim will always have Worrell.

Osinski pitches well against righties and lefties for me. He usually ends up with an era below 4 and 10 saves and a bunch of innings. In my opinion, he's one of the best values. Garman is more likely (for me at least) to hit or miss than Osinski. The only problem with Osinski is that I struggle to type his name correctly and have to backspace and fix it...
