The unbearable lightness of trading...

Thought this might help me laugh at the insane, so
I have been inspired to start a log of what I consider absurd trade offers- someone else can keep a log of the insane ones that Im guilty of; and Ill leave off the multi player ones for the most part- and the back and forth ones, where people throw stuff out quickly.
So let me start off with these Gems:
200Mil: Offered: Ron Santo(waivers) = Lee Smith
O:Bill Henry+Buck Leonard = Honus Wagner
O: David Wright =Babe Adams
O: Lyons+G. Carter = Joss + Downing
O:Seaver+J.Gordon = Lajoie +Vance
O: Gibson+ Willard B. =Grove+Roush [today :)]
Oh, Ill be adding many more shortly...and feel free to add your own wonders- please leave names out- except your own of course- and if you think Im the crazy one, you are probably correct...
and Granted there are circumstances where these might rise to the level of Sanity.

New has two manuscripts of ridiculous trade offers he's received dating back to ATGI.

Is New, nev?
and can we get some highlights/lowlights from this set?
There seems to be a proliferation of sillyness of late...

I recently had a team where autodraft richly blessed me with multiple 10+ mil RFers plus a pair of normally highly sought after shortstops and 3 of the more sought after third basemen. Specific players not terribly important.
What I did find funny is several people sent me offers for players who are never used. When I asked them why I should consider an offer like that the response was "well on your team those will only be backups anyway".
I had a similar thing back in the winter when I got lucky and had 4 great OFers and Aaron was actually odd man out. I shopped him and got nothing but useless offers with one person reasoning I should not be asking 10 mil value players in return because Aaron was my second best RFer.

I just had a trade proposed a week ago you Give up George Brett in return for Wade Boggs, not real lopsided but nobody's going to make that trade, which I declined without hesitation. This week I receive another trade offer from the same manager you give uo George Brett in return for Wade Boggs, what part of no do you not understand.

I've had a couple of veterans lately try to trade me Trammell for Wells at SS. Ballpark matchups are fine, but for that much? Besides, I've gotten kind of Trammell-averse lately -- he seems to be underperforming for me. Same with Lloyd (but that's a different topic).

w.wells is the rogers hornsby of shortstops. the 2e defense is worth it for the offense.
