I'm shooting for the Triples Record. Are Doubles and Triples Ratings being used in ATG6? If so, then what park is best for Triples? If not, then it doesnt matter which park I play in.

Someone once posted the doubles and triples ratings for most of the ballparks on the old boards. Not sure I have ever seen such a posting on the current boards. Plus I have never been able to determine for sure if that feature is turned on or off in the online game.
I would assume off but if it is on then those ratings need to be posted on the ballpark selection page.

I'm pretty sure they are turned off.

Bernie said that the DO and TR effects are off. The SI and HR are the only ones on.

Couldn't that at least be a league option? I'd like the doubles and triples on, if we could see what they were. And I'd also like the league option to turn all ballpark effects off.

A big vote of yes on both of these.
The 'No ballpark' ballpark would be a very nice variation for us to be able to play with.
and I think the triples and doubles thing would be a huge step in the right direction.

So, now that we have decided to add this to our list of improvements for the game, lets get back to the original question. Does park matter in my quest for triples????

assuming triples effects are turned off (and I think they are), the only real difference in parks that will increase your triples is to pick the highest possible singles rating (and BPHR rating if you have any HR hitters) thereby causing your entire team to get more at bats and therefore more rolls to get those triples.
Your pitcher's won't like it, but if all you are going for is the triples, then I think that is the way to get there.
(Fenway '67 perhaps or Coors '05, maybe Royals '80 or Stars park if you go with all righties)

I too would like the league option of turning on doubles/triples effects if I could get those effects added to the ballparks chart.
But am sure there will be a lot of questions. Do only doubles hitters benefit like only HR hitters benefit from a high HR rating? Or do all hitters/pitchers get their rates increased/decreased? I am also sure many will object due to the mechanism for implementing the doubles/triples being a "black box" item in the code and not seeable on the cards.
That objection would be similar to the pitcher clutch option which as I understand is based on ERA but implemented under the hood behind the scenes instead of a symbol readable on the cards. But that too is something I would really like to see as a league option.
Of course one has to be aware more options could mean a higher variety of leagues (good) that take longer to fill as you need 12 people who like the options you chose (possibly bad).

Hmm... I had been under the impression that the doubles/triples was ON... At least, I remember doing some research into it and thought the results indicated it was on...
