$200M Cap and DH

The pitching is horrible. The team plays awful on the road but is excellent at home. The division has these stadiums Briggs 41, Coors 05, and Veterans 75. I am playing in Hilltop 11.

There is only one stadium in the league that hurts my team, and it is Ebbets 20.

Even though the hitting is good, the team is scoring at 86% efficiency based on AB*OBP*SLG.

Hoffman's card is getting torched.

Any ideas on what to do with this team?

More Heilmann, less Cedeno

Your pitchers are probably a little frustrated with your secondbaseman.... in the 200 mil leagues SP's are a premium and you have four solid starters underperforming. Maybe shop one of them for a very defensively/offensively solid 2B, preferrably a LH 2B. I am partial to Gehringer at Hilltop to take advantage of the LH singles rating. Also, adding some LH bats will probably improve your road woes.

My two cents, good luck to you.

Defensive replacements for 2B and 3B...

The team's overall run differential isn't so bad, but its been
giving up a lot of unearned runs, almost 1 per error committed,
which is a high rate. The overall number of errors isn't so
bad given your choice of defenders.

Half of the unearned runs have been allowed by the bullpen, so
errors late in the game have hurt this team.

Most importantly at 2B...you can live with Torre at 3B, but not Scales at 2B. On my bomber teams, always have 1's up the middle. Helps make up for my cheap pitching... :D
