Career 3-4 with a 5.98 ERA, 1.73WHIP, 27K, 35BB. Played in 15 games of which he started 8.

His best start was probably on August 22 1995 when he threw 8 innings, gave up 6hits, 1ER, 1BB, 6K as the Brewers beat Tom Gordon, and the Royals 8-1. He struck out the likes of Johnny Damon, Wally Joyner and Gary Gaetti.

His worst game was his last appearance in a major league game on July 23 1997 when he started and threw 3.1 innings, gave up 1hit, 6ER, 6BB, 2HBP, 1K as he took the loss to Roger Clemens, and the Bluejays 8-0. His last major league strikeout coming against Shaun Green.

Batted .222 with a .272OBP in 371 plate appearances with 15 strikeouts and 23 walks, had 1HR and 32RBI. Longest hitting streak was 6 games, and most games reached base consecutively was 9. His only homerun came against Dick Newsome of the Boston Redsox on May 4th 1942 at Fenway Park where the first place Indians, coached by Lou Boudreau, lost to the 4th place Redsox, coached by Joe Cronin 11-8 in front of a crowd of 8,637. This was the Redsox 3rd win in a row, and the Indians 2nd loss in a row. The Sox would go on to finish 93-59 and 2nd in the AL, and the Indians would finish 75-79 and 4th in the AL.

In 1938 he finished second for the batting title in the American Association league behind fellow teammate for the Minneapolis Millers, Ted Williams.

He has a career lifetime batting average of .276 with a .352OBP, 874Hits, 108HR, 28Triples, 172Doubles, 513RBI, 385Runs. He finished 29th in MVP voting in 1943 and 18th in 1944, which is arguably his best season (.288BA, .367OBP, 164Hits, 22HR, 9Triples, 35Doubles, 104RBI, 72Runs).

An interesting fact: On April 28th 1957 Northey played a day game for the Chicago Whitesox against the Kansas City Athletics where the Whitesox won 5-3. He was then traded to the Philidalphia Phillies, on the same day, and played a night game that day against the New York Giants where the Phillies lost 7-8. He was then traded back to the Whitesox where he played for them again on April 30th 1957 in a 6-1 win against Baltimore. Later that year, sometime between July 23rd and July 30th he was again traded from Chicago to Philidalphia. This time he would end his career with them.

Career .284BA, .333OBP, 23Hits, 1Double, 0Triples, 0HR, 7RBI, 4R, 6BB, 13K, 2SB in 88 Plate Appearances.

His best game was probably on September 11th 1942 where he went 3-5 in a 5-8 Phillies loss to the Reds. His only multiple RBI game came on September 20th against the Brooklyn Dodgers in a 7-3 Phillies win. His longest hitting streak is 9 games and longest on base streak was 12 games. In games he played the Phillies had an 8-20 record.

Bill Burich's career was interupted during World War II as he served 3 and a half years from 1942-1946. Another Great American Hero!!!

Appeared in a total of 14 games as a pitcher. Started 4 of those games and lost 3, he also lost a game in relief as well. His career record is 0-4, 5.35ERA, faced a total of 179 batters, 0Hit batsman, 11K, 19BB, 25 Runs, 23 of them earned, 49 Hits in a total of 38.2IP.

His best outing may have been is first. In a no decision he pitched 7 innings, gave up 7 hits, 2BB, 2K, 2 Runs both earned. The 8th place Phillies lost to the First place dodgers 9-2 in which Fats Dantonio of Brooklyn went 3-4 with a triple, SB, Run and RBI. The winning pitcher was Cy Buker, his first win of the season, and Vic Lombardi received his 4th save of the season. Luis Almo for the Dodgers had a great game going 2-4 with a HR, 1 walk, 2 runs and 3 RBI.

As a hitter he had 10 plate appearances, .111BA, 1BB, 1Hit, 1K. His only hit came off Max Butcher of the Pirates, on 4 July 1945 in a 13-0 loss. His only walk came off Jack Brewer of the New York Giants, on 28 uly 1945.

Overall the Phillies were 1-13 when he played.

Had 28 Plate apperances and batted .269, .296 OBP, 0 HR, 2 Doubles, 2 Walks, 2 RBI, 7 Hits, 2 Strikeouts, Played in a total of 16 Games.

HIs best game was probably on August 23rd 1967 where he went 2-3 with a sacrafice hit and a run scored. In a Twins 4-3 win over the Tigers in a game where Harmon Killebrew hit a homerun. The winning pitcher was Jim Perry over Dave Wickersham.

His last hit was a single to RF off Sonny Siebert in the bottom of the 5th with 2 outs and Cesar Tovar at first. The Twins lost this game to the 7th place Indians 2-1 in 10 innings. This was the second game of a double header.

The Twins were 8-8 in games that Enrique played in.

He actually played 16 seasons in the minors before being called up. When he was sent back down he never got another opportunity to play in the majors again. He did go on the manage in the Mexican league and was a scout for the Twins.

His lone homerun came on May 24th 1991 in a game where the Expos lost to the Cubs 4-3. In the top of the 8th inning Eric Bullock was brought in to pinch hit for Gil Reyes. The Cubs countered by bringing in Paul Assenmacher to pitch. The Expos then brought in Junior. On a 0-1 count with no men on and 2 outs Junior hit a line-drive homerun to Left field to make the game 3-2 Cubs. Junior hit the only homerun in the game for the Expos, but Shawon Dunston and Ryan Sandburg hit homeruns for the Cubs.

Junior now works in the Arizona Diamondbacks front office.
