Have him on a team where he is under perfoming. ,235/333/.432 line after 21 games. I know it is a small sample size, but one look at his card and it tells me that he's overpriced...I took a chance on him anyway. Any "Good" seasons out there for his '93 (10.05m) card? Please post. I'm thinking of dropping him, even with the 20% hit

DiamondDope has him for 91 seasons with a stat line of .257/.326/.541 plus 47HRs and 120 RBI's spread out over all the various salary caps.

I, too, think he's overpriced. Here's the only time I used him:

Why use any Griffey card other than 1994?

I wanted to maximize my dollars (80m cap) and he's a 15 game injury risk for '94. I considered his 4R card as I've seen that card do well, but generally I like my best players to hit both sides well

I think that's about what you'd expect based on the card.
I didn't like Griffey as a player (low OB), and I think his cards are pretty much in line with his play... great glove, great power, low walk rate, average average.
That feels like a good season to me. 63 HR, .600 slug.
Here's Griffey in a 24 team theme league, I got the Mariners + Brewers seemed like a good idea at the time)

Weaker pitching, less conducive park, 47 homers, .500 Slug. Mendoza + a quarter BA. No gold glove.
Here's Griffey 93 and 94 in a theme league, where I picked 12th among expansion era franchises... There might be a reason I'm not playing too many themes right now...

Started with 93, and went from meh to more meh by switching to 94.
For the same production, I can get Duke Snider, who I can slot 5th because he's like 9-10 hits plus clutch. And Duke doesn't have as many holes in his game. But a very similar bat in terms of the game.
