When are the new cards arriving? I am all for teasers but it feels like forever since it was announced this would be happening. People have been running threads speculating about which cards should be provided and submitting wish lists.
Personally, I would rather not know it was under consideration if it was not going to happen for another 6 months. Just makes me start looking for something I would otherwise not have given a thought to. It is like telling a kid you are going to the ice cream store and then after he gets all excited saying calm down I didn't say we were going today. :(
I want my ice cream.

I concur wholeheartedly. I have been holding back joining a new league until at least the first wave of new cards are included but my patience is wearing thin too.

I agree that new cards are exciting and I will be looking forward to playing with same but what originally hooked me on this game was strategy and team building. I am afraid these concepts are taking a backseat as the player pool continues to be saturated with new talent. I would hate for it to get to the point where I am no longer concerned about making myself available for the mad rush after waivers because I know that there will always be very viable options left to pick up a couple of days later.
To me, the beauty of ATG V was that there were always teams at the 140 mil and 200 mil level (for lack of better words) getting shafted during the draft and it was a long, strategic road to recover.....if you could. There were only a handful of premium 2B, CF, 3B, and they were coveted. ATG VI's influx of talent filled those holes and now nearly everyone fields an All-Star team up and down their lineups.......it is definitely harder (at least for me) to win at ATG VI now that strategy and drafting ability (drafting luck) have given way to which team can out homer the other.
Occasionally you will still see teams in ATG VI not recover from an unlucky draft but not as often as ATG V and my fear as stated above is that more new cards promotes less strategy needed to win.
My two cents.....and always subject to ridicule and debate.

Personally I feel that the larger the player pool the more strategy it requires to win. Knowing the right players to draft is not necessarily strategy. Someone can simply learn which guys to draft yet never really learn the strategy behind it. With an even field of players it requires you to know how to build a team rather than being the lucky one that got players x,y,z. Does that make sense to anyone?

Makes sense to me. My sentiments exactly.
200m teams have a very small player pool. People get shafted all the time at 200M in ATG VI. I know because I do some of the shafting.

The new cards will start rolling in in about a month or so.
For those of you who think the player set's too big: that's what the subsets are for! Give 'em a try.

Hmmm, a month or so. :(
This is like having your christmas present wrapped and put under the tree in mid-October. Get to see it every day but not know what is inside. :(
Wonder if there is a clever way to peel back some of the wrapping so I can peek at what is inside.
Reminds me of a former girlfriend who was so good at unwrapping presents she could unwrap something and then rewrap it and you could not tell she had touched it. Then she wondered why she never got posession of her presents early.
