I started playing back in 2001 with the first of the 200x games. Took me right at a decade to pull it off but the milestone had finally been reached. It was close as I had to rally for 3 losses on the final night to pull off the accomplishment.

Your pitching staff stunk up the joint. But why? They seemed strong.

No explanation and team is not that different from some of my playoff teams. Guess Wash would say that is just how strat go. :lol:

that's why i never will play 200M. Far too focused on simply drafting the highest rated players. Less freedom to exercise alternate strategies.

Agreed. Played one once and if you don't get the players you drafted you're sunk. On a side note, especially in a $200m league where there aren't any 'gimmes' in batting lineup, I'd imagine even great pitchers are going to get hammered in a ballpark like that.

I disagree about being stuck when a bad draft occurs. That may have been true at one time but the larger player pool has provided a lot of flexibility. With 28 man rosters and sufficient cash you can afford to do many platoons that can go a long way toward making up for not getting the top players.

While my overall winning percentage is not exceptional (right at .500) I do not find it much different between caps. Even at 200 mil you have to make decisions about which player to keep and which to cut. You still do not have enough money to afford everyone you want.

I'm amazed at how low your BA's are...

200mil is not easy but there are more trades at 200mil than any other level. The auto draft does play a large part of it but I agree with Valen that there are enough lower priced platoon type guys available to fill almost any need.

Brian Giles was massively underused. Over 1.000 OPS in 50+ PA and you couldn't find him more play?

Little hemmed in with Henderson and Bonds in left, but still, he's a great bat vs. R.

You have a point about Giles. But who was I going to bench. Henderson was my leadoff hitter and table setter. Bonds was not going to rest. And Sosa was my DH. Suppose in retrospect I could have switched to the lefty killer Sosa and platooned but I was hoping to swing a trade that never happened.
