for uggla? never seen anything like this. a .170 hitter is now on a 32 game hitting streak with homers almost every game? nuts!

An amazing turn-around for sure!

His streak is impressive, but having watched last week's Pirates-Braves series I saw Uggla get awarded a hit by his home team scorer on a botched routine grounder to short; Ronnie (Don't call me Ozzie) Cedeno took a slow-motion approach to the ball and then bobbled it for a second before launching a wild throw beyond the first baseman's reach.

To me, if one were going to illustrate the proper assignment of an error, this was the play, but instead it was ruled a hit, his only hit of the night. Knowing this scorer is probably still at work, it'll color my view of Uggla's streak going forward.

that's unfortunate cuz most of his hits are legit and for rbis. i think he has 27 singles and 19 xtra base hits. 14 of those are hrs. don't know what his slugging % is for the streak but it would be nice to compare to other streaks. hope he gets to 40.

If Uggla had done this in the 50's, "The great Uggla" could have changed Hemingway's career.

Doesn't quite roll off the tongue as well as the original line.

no mo beer in da fridge, no mo smoke in da smoke, turn out da lights, da party's over! barney fife makes super catch to rob ugla of his chance to keep it going. somehow the cubs rally from a 4 run deficit, take 2 of 3, and have won their 4th straight series since 2008. go figure.

Can you please send whatever Uggla is eating and/or drinking during this turnaround to ADAM DUNN !! The National League can have him back IMO.

is dunn, done? starting in '04, dunn hit 40 hrs and 100 rbis like cloclwork. went to washington and hit 38 which is like 50 in most other parks. now this chicago fiasco. imagine the gm and getting being blamed for this signing. plus dunn is only 31. still within the post steroid performance age range. he's from houston. with the astros ute movement doubt they'd take him unless sox are ready to eat huge bucks.
