Small Ball Hitters? Who would you rather have?

Who would you rather have? Willard Brown in LF and the expensive Carew card at 1st or John Beckwith at 1st and Joe Jackson in LF? How about Jud Wilson at 1st? Beckwith's card looks impressive with lots of natural power, never used him though

Don't like Beckwith in small ball, and I don't think you really need the killer slugger if you get the pitching right... in 80m leagues. In 100m though, it's a different story, I think you need a bigger slugger than Beckwith though...Gereenberg, H.Wilson, Kiner and the like. I love Judy Johnson at third, but the injury bug is significant, here he is in Petco:

Beckwith batting 3rd ahead of Gibson at Cath Prep.
It's not a small ball team but even at $200 mil. the guy gets it done

100M - Jackson and Beckwith. Good balance, and you need the masher.
80M - Jackson and Carew if you can swing it.

thanks for the input - I would go w/Jackson but have lots of LHP in my own division - gonna try out Willard Brown and went with Joe Judge at 1B
