To make a long story longer....its been a few years but its nice to see some familiar names on the MB. about 5 years ago I discovered world of warcraft, finally stopped playing. This is my next favorite game out there. If any of you could link your us cellular field teams that would be great.
Here is my squad league starts monday.

David,
Welcome back! Everyone has their opinions regarding team construction. Looking closely at your division, the starting pitching leans towards the LHS. But, your lineup favors RHS. Not a good matchup in my opinion. Also, you are not really utilizing your home park benefits; especially HR's. Love SOSA and PETROCELLI for your ballpark. I would take a close look at 3B in particular. Many options to choose from including Beckworth, Chipper, Schmidt, Killebrew, Allen, Bando. Upgrade at CF and LF is another good choice. I would target Snider, Ott, Hafey and Alou here. Definately would get rid of catcher platoon and just go with Thurman Munson to save $$$$. In short, I would reallocate funds you have tied up in Henderson, Palmeiro and Ortiz and redistribute to CF/LF/3B. Try to save money at DH!!!!!! Maybe take a look at cheaper option at 2b in either Larry Doyle or Bobby Avila. The few times I have seen Avila, he has rocked as has Utley. Depends on league construction in regards to Utley or Avila. Doyle disappointed the one time I used him; but league was heavy with pitching. You could go very cheap in LF with Joe Evans at 2.63 and keep money at 1B, 3B and CF. I would probably do this option. JOE EVANS rocks!!! Will hit 300 plus from both sides and with good slugging at a huge savings. I hated to drop him but, had to allocate more money to pitching. Very hard lesson to learn.
SP wise, Hess is very good. If you want to save money on a fourth *starter, Jack Billingham is really a good return on investment for 1.77. Use money saved to get one more good SP in 6 mil range. Good options include Maddox and Kremer. If you have too, downgrade RP to make this happen. Rambled long enough. By the way, take all this advice with a grain of salt. This is my first venture into a DH league and I am in the Central division in your league. LOL
Good luck with your choices,
Chuck Barclay

Thanks for the feedback. I originally built a team not designated for a dh but grew impatient waiting for a league to form. I then pretty much completely reconstructed my team b/c I had to many platoons. Also another team got 3 of the starting pitchers I was hoping for. It's fun to Be back. I try and only play one team at a time. Time to get cracking.
