The open league called "Free-For-All" currently has 5 teams. The original plan was to have a frenzy kick off this Wednesday at 10 PM, but because of Bernie's announcement that the first batch of new cards will arrive this Thursday, I've changed the time to THU @ 9PM.

I'm hoping that it fills before the new cards are released, which will make the resulting frenzy even more fun!

In the interest of fair play, this particular league is closing in on a deadline to reach its full complement of 12 managers. I don't think it's quite right for teams that join after new cards are released tomorrow to have the chance to put them on their draft list while the teams that are already in do not.

As a result, if the league isn't full when Bernie makes the new player cards available, I'll change the frenzy time to 9 or 10 PM ET Friday to allow anyone who wants access to the new cards to drop out and modify their draft list, and still be able to have opening day on the 19th.

As I stated in my previous post, I think this frenzy opportunity will be a little more fun and challenging if none of the teams initially have the new player cards, and there's a lot of interest in getting them.

So if you think you might be interested in this particular league, please sign up tonight or early Thursday morning at the latest so the fireworks can go off as planned tomorrow night.

I would guess that leagues formed prior to the new cards being added would not include the new cards for the fairness reasons you cite. Might want to clarify that with the Bern-man.

Logically you are right nexrad. My bad :oops: . We draft guys before entering the league so the program will have no way to know whether the league you intend to enter was started before or after. Puts the guys already in at a bit of disadvantage but is unavoidable really.

We still need 5 teams to fill the league, and since the new player cards were released early enough today, anyone who's already in the league should be able to exit and update their draft list without a hitch ... if they choose to. I don't think I can exit the league without ruining my ability to change the draft time if necessary, so I'm going to keep my original submission of all pre-release players.

So we're going to go ahead and shoot for a frenzy tonight at 9 PM, which can be bumped to 10 or 11 if we're really close, otherwise we'll plan on a Friday draft.

Just don't be surprised if some of the new player cards aren't available at that time!
