Two - way players

Bernie said the plan is to allow multiple versions of two-way players once the new cards are released, which created some controversy on the boards.

So it appears the ultimate decision to allow multiple versions of two - way players is up to us. What do you think?

[b:9a66a6fd7a]I dont like this. I have no problem having Ruth the pitcher and Ruth the hitter on the same team if the manager is willing to pay for it, but I dont like Ruth facing Ruth. I still want a little "realism", and that aint it[/b:9a66a6fd7a].

I believe he has changed his mind on this and now it will be same as with Joe Wood previously where only one can be in the league. Someone will have to go check to confirm by trying to fill out a draft card and see if they can add both Ruth the pitcher and Ruth the hitter.

This is correct.

I added Ruth the pitcher to my card, and got [b:2c1f56723e]"[color=red:2c1f56723e]You have already selected Babe Ruth."[/color:2c1f56723e][/b:2c1f56723e] when I tried to add Ruth a hitter.

Personally, I'm in favor, for the opposite side of the "Ruth v Ruth" issue.

I don't want to see Ruth bat 9th, get on, then have Ruth, batting third, knock himself in. Or ground into a DP where he is out at second and first on the same play.

If they (Bernie) could code an actual Double Duty card where it's one card, exorbitant price, who could pitch every 4th day and play 1B or RF the other three, yes. But cloning situations bother me.

Prediction: after the initial excitement and novelty, other than in some franchise theme leagues, the Ruth pitching card will be used about as often as Tim Keefe's
