More evidence of team normalization

Not my team but noticed another that jumped out 30-15 with a solid 7 game lead. Then normalization kicked in and now that team is 13 games out. If this is not normalization what is?

If it isn't, then....
The rest of the division reading the team better??
A team built for the division but not the league??
Managerial strategies changed (some of us have been known to tinker when we obviously shouldn't have)??

Overachieving at the beginning of the season??

The Pittsburgh Pirates were 51-44 and led the NL Central by a half-game on July 19. They then went 16-38 afterwards to clinch their 19th consecutive losing season.
Here in Pittsburgh, we don't call that normalization - we just call it normal. :cry:

Well put. Maybe it was just me being a Hurdle fan after the job he did in Texas last year but I was beginning to buy in to the kool-aid before the collapse.

You realize you're talking about the Indians, right?
They started 30-15 and are now 13.5 games out.
Jeez, I thought it was due to injuries and regression and all that. I didn't realize it was TSNs fault. Damn, Cleveland really can't catch a break.

Hopefully the effects do not go from year to year....otherwise the Cubs would have had one wicked awesome season coming. :x
