what the **** conservative base stealing means? Rickey not checked to "steal more" gets on base 4 times and tries to steal all 4 times. Hartnett is a -2 C and the pitchers had holds of +1, 0, -1.

Strat has never divulged this information, to the best of my recollection. Note that Rickey was probably at least 70% in all four situations. That's pretty conservative, by my lights.

My understanding of conservative team setting is it is a relative risk tolerance thing. Do not know exact percentages. But for example conservative might mean steal whenever your safe chances are 75%, normal if 70% and aggressive steal if 70%. I do not believe it is a measure of how often to attempt a stolen base though that may factor in too.
If one is uncomfortable with how often Rickey attempts steals then that is probably a card to avoid. Unless you check "don't steal" on his individual card he is going to attempt very frequently. You live with that because it is Rickey.

Does anyone find it frustrating that we're left to guess what the settings mean?
