No zeros in the box score.

No zeros in the box score.

A recent post in the "Lucky Dice" thread got me curious, given the pure offense teams I have been putting together lately, so I went looking for games where no player had a zero in their line.

Found quite a few close calls. The most amazing is one game in which Hornsby had 4 hits, but no RBIs. And that's batting behind Ruth, Bonds, et al. Hard to believe.

But my boys have managed to do that a few time in $100mil leagues. The first two are from my team that set the runs scored record (and won 100 games)---

In this one, Bonds was injured, so Guererro took over LF and teufel was at 3rd-

Here's one more--

This was interesting since Myatt was sitting in for an injured Piazza-

And the last from my current team which is on pace to score nearly 2000 runs--

Box scores are fun! Anyone else with some examples?

Cool! And that 6 for 7 night jacked his average all the way up to .244!

Rockies very nearly did this today. Only the 1 and 3 holes failed to get an RBI, and all other positions in the lineup filled all 4 columns. Kevin Millwood jacked his 2nd HR today (he's now 3/19 with 2 HR; what an individual hitting card he will have).
