Leagues rarely show much momentum early in a week. My theory is we are like political parties here, conservative, liberal, and a few independants.
Liberals like to move fast. They jump in leagues toward the end of a week filling up a league just before the Friday deadline for starting the next monday.
Conservatives create leagues or join leagues after the Friday night deadline so waivers occur the next monday and they have a whole week to mull over their team and engage in trade discussions.
This results in leagues gaining momentum towards the end of a week and jumping off the cliff on Friday afternoon/evening. And it also results in leagues that fill quickly very late Friday night and early saturday morning.
Start a league on a sunday or monday and you can count on it doing nothing until the liberals start piling on toward the end of the week to meet the Friday deadline.
I personally do not feel I can justify the expense of more than one team a week so tend to ignore what leagues are forming until the end of a week when I try to decide whether to jump in with the liberals or hold out for a league of conservatives.
