I guess these kind of numbers are tolerable if you are a defensive wizard at catcher or middle infield, but since Mr. Dunn's position on the team was

This has to be the all-time worst full season EVER.

His 2011 SOM card will be ugly.

Mark Belanger slugged .280 for his career

I'm not a White Sox fan, but find it amusing that their manager is gone after this season, rather than the GM who brought Dunn in on, if my memory serves, a rather stout contract! One might think he would be "DUNN"

You should get a $0.50M credit if you add him to your 2011 Strat team.

Being a White Sox fan who watched nearly all of Dunn's 170+ strikeouts, I can say with confidence that this is the worst season in baseball history....by a lot....

I mean the guys a .250 hitter (or was) so coming into the year I knew very well that his average could fall below .230 or so (not .160!!!) but I figured he'd run into a few pitches and hit some 340 pop-ups that just get over the fence........ 11 homeruns......... WTF!!!!!!

I love the white sox but this guy is complete ****, the only solace I took in him this whole year is saying to my dad "I can't wait to see his strat card"

Between the contracts of Dunn, Rios and Peavy the White Sox have some of the biggest ball+chains in sports right now. A true embodiment of this recession of ours :twisted:

Honestly, I pick Dunn for a nice bounce back year next year.
Not a return to his NL glory days, but 25-30 HR.

I have my doubts. This reminds me so much of Dale Murphy in 1988. About the same age, too.

Remember when the White Sox exercised a "diminished skills" clause in the contract of Frank Thomas because he only hit .300 or so? Looks like they had trouble slipping that in to future contracts after abusing it on Thomas.

:lol: Loved this. Isn't it funny how we evaluate players these days on what kind of strat card they will probably get?

Speaking of what kind of strat card players will get. It will be interesting to see what defensive ratings Michael Young gets next year. He did well everywhere he played but strat is very inconsistent when rating players for positions they did not play every day.
