Don't make your team play in Kansas City. It is hot there. No fans come to watch the games.

Check your privates. Always a good place to seek inspiration. :P

I love Simmons, but I'm not sure if he's a luxury you can afford at this cap. You can save a few million by turning him into Ichiro, but I think you need more than that to upgrade 1B and 3B.

You might consider dropping Simmons and Robinson for Duffy Lewis and Joe Evans.

Joe Evans DH and Outfield of Lewis, Cobb, and Flick.

That might free up enough to stick Lindstrom or Traynor at third and either Bill Terry or Carew at 1B

Good thoughts. Terry's unavailable. Also, no DH. I have JRob playing 3B.

I like the cheaper Simmons. Also am partial to the cheaper Eddie Collins. Also like the cheapest Rod Carew. Saves some $$$. Course I think Teddy Roosevelt was President the last time I won a ring......call me the Cubs.

If it were me playing in that park I would want a catcher that had speed to take advantage of the ball park singles. I would probably go for Gibson and have the Frank Chance that can catch as my first baseman. Ty Cobb would be in Right field and I would have Kenny Lofton in CF with Felipe Alou in LF as my RBI guy. Al Simmons fills that role but Alou is cheaper. Love Collins and Wagner are great but I would get a defensive 3rd baseman who would give you a ghost of a chance. Then I would have one stud starter and a stud reliever.

If I was short of my pitching needs I would go to Geronimo for CF

Thank you for those suggestions, Charlie. I am too lazy to tear it apart too much at the moment.

would think u should have a better arm in CF and a 1 - Dom D is always good in a pitchers park
with 2 cheap pitchers, u may need another reliever who can give u some innings, unless ur division is all lopsided teams

For better or worse, this is the team I've settled on.
