Any season where the Red Sox miss the playoffs is still a great season ;)
Good job to the Tigers. I guess you [i:11abd03d4c]can[/i:11abd03d4c] win with a 4 range at ss...

Easier than with a choke artist at 3rd.

A-Rod :P

Well the facts over his postseason career say otherwise. 282/389/506 is a pretty good BA/OB/SLG line and he had a monster 2009. He was injured much of the year.

Tonight they didnt execute--includes Cano, Tex, Jete, etc. The beauty of baseball is on any given night, that can happen.

Not so much in other sports--a physically overmatched team typically loses.

At first I thought you meant Adrian Gonzalez in the 3-hole. Then I thought maybe Brandon Inge at 3rd. Those facts siupport. But then I read your next line and said, oh...

I guess Pedroia with a 252/344/461 is good if you're a Red Sox fan. I mean, limited postseason sample and all.

Hey all I have to say about A-Rod is:

How many of the great yankees won only one world series?

How many players have even won one? I didn't say he was a great Yankee...but a choke artist when the ultimate choke artists aren't on the field this time of year, by definition.

There are a great many Great Yankees, which by itself is response enough.

How many great Red Sox won only "none" world series...most of em.
8-)

Bad on me, I should qualify that. Any Red Sox who played exclusively between the years 1918 and 2004.

Macnole, you have a monomania about the Red Sox. Not everyone who enjoyed the game tonight is a Red Sox fan. I happen to be a long suffering Tiger fan.

As a Yankee fan, you couldn't say nothing or congratulate the Tigers without pointing out they have "4" shortstop - so I poked at you (A-Rod :P ). Let some of the rest of us enjoy this moment. I'm sure your team will win 95+ games next year as they always do.
