I don't think this works real well.

Ed Walsh throws 143 pitches, 10 runs on 15 hits and 5 walks in 6.1 innings, and the game system feels he is fine and insists he must face 1 more batter.

Grandslam and suddenly Ed goes from a F9 to an F2 and finally gets yanked.
