Diamond Dope Up In Smoke?

As many have noticed, the new batch of players are not available in the card reader and the newest new players are not yet in the draft app.

I am fairly burned out on the game, so I am also burned out on Diamond Dope as a vehicle for the game. Getting into the code is typically last on my list of things I want to do.

I am not saying that the site's going away, but I am considering transitioning away from the card reading business. If a developer type wants to apply to intern, I am certainly open to that. I do not know what I want to do, exactly--except I know I don't want to work on this, right now.

I do have the motivation to add the newest players to the draft app. I should be able to get that accomplished within the next couple days.

Adrian, I just hope you're doing okay otherwise. The DD should be completely secondary to other stuff, lots of other stuff, in your life. It can be fun, but it is also secondary. And when it gets to be something you no longer look forward to, then it might be time to let it go. You've been doing great work for us for quite a while. Thanks.

Thanks, bud!

My life is great! I am in a very happy place! That's probably why I'm not as interested in Strat... ;)

Say it ain't so! If I can in any way make your life miserable, please let me know. I hate to hear that happiness is popping out all over.

Probly wont matter much, as you see in another thread, if TSN dies, all of this will die. At least until the strat company find another venue to host the online version, IF they have the interest.

This economy and the way the world is changing right now doesnt lend itself to fun and games. :(

Thanks Adrian, although I haven't been playing but a couple of years, DD has been a great help to me fielding a team. I shudder to think how bad my record would be if I had to do my own research, I just don't have the time or the inclination. I hope you find someone to take over.

All the best, Mike

You have provided a great service to those of us who play the game here. Thanks for creating DD, and for all the time you put in to it. I can certainly understand not having, or wanting, to put the time in to continuing to run it. Life goes on.
