Love the new Marichal card, So far pitching pretty good in leagues I have him in and in a 100mil league is off to a strong start [2] starts [21] innings and 0.45 era. He was always one of my favorites growing up and I always felt he didnt get his due pitching in the same league as Koufax.

Looking back on it, I'm surprised Marichal wasn't arrested. (Was he?) Yet, there's something perversely but undeniably cool about the whole incident.

The look on Koufax's face, especially in the third picture.

Yeah. It's amazing that he tried to get in the middle of that assault, tried to break it up.

He wouldn't throw at Marichal despite it being a hard fought series with a lot of headhunting and Marichal hitting someone on the Dodgers. So, Roseboro took it upon himself to even the score. Koufax wouldn't hit him on purpose (not sure if this was a sign of class, pacifism, or brains not to put the pitcher on base for the top of the lineup, or some mixture of that or something else), so not surprising he didn't want to fight. More surprising that he tried to intervene. Takes a bold guy to get in front of a pissed off guy with a bat.
