Injury Program?

As sure as the sun rises, if I have a 15 game injury risk on my team (Beckwith), he will go down for the 15 games, and its ALWAYS, on the last week of the season. C'mon HAL, don't make it so obvious (the presence of an injury algorithm) It's not the rolls of the dice

What would be the motivation for adding to the expense of the program by programming in such a thing? In other words why would Strat or TSN care how often Beckwith gets injured or how many games?
