.........that non DH leagues are the kiss of death? Look, until the obvious defects in PH'ing & Bullpen management are corrected, why would you want to play in a league where both of these issues are in the forefront? Yet there are fewer and fewer DH leagues available. Please expain.

I agree with you.

if we could see pitcher's batting stats, it would help. theroretically, without the dh, you would spend more on pitchers. i'm not sure this is the case. wonder if there is a huge scoring difference between dh vs non-dh leagues?

It's kind of strange, but I usually look for a non-DH league for my bomber teams and a DH league for my small-ball teams.............

I think that's actually right, Andy. With no DH you have to make fewer compromises to get the hitters you want. And small-ball teams rely on sequential offenses, so unless you restrict yourself to 5 hitting pitchers, you have more trouble making them go than in DH leagues.

Non DH leagues are too frustrating for me. Only played a few and no matter how much I adjusted my settings I couldn't get Hal to stop pinch-hitting for my premium SP's who were leading by 1-3 runs in the last two innings. Nine to ten mil pitchers being pulled for a .62 mil batter and subsequently replaced with a .73 reliever led to eighteen late inning losses in one league for me. Granted, late inning losses are a patented online Strat trademark but I would rather it be Walsh on the mound giving it his best than Lindblad.
I would like to see the F9-F0 setting supercede SP pinch-hitting substitutions and then maybe I would delve back into it again.

I really like no-DH leagues . . . I hate that all my bench guys just rot in DH leagues, having little to no use. Yes, I have my ace get pulled for a no-hitting backup sometimes, but I like using all of my players. That just can't happen in a regular DH league.

I, too, play almost nothing but DH leagues. I don't want HAL pulling Walter out of a 2-2 game in the eighth for a pinch hit attempt by Fred Stanley.

looks like with the astros moving to the AL, selig is going to more interleague play. this will lead to NL teams having to keep a dh/supersub on their roster. may be thenail in the coffin for pitcher's batting?

There will be no added interleague games, they will just happen throughout the season instead of in two concentrated bursts.
