PREMISE: Fill your roster with players from specific regions. The players are divided by birthplace (state or country, see below).

[b:f717505897]Your roster:[/b:f717505897]
All players must hail from your region (by birth).

[i:f717505897]Roster Exceptions:[/i:f717505897] sub-1M players can be added to any roster for any region. Do not bother looking up the birthplaces of your scrubs.

[b:f717505897]Player Regions[/b:f717505897]
You can find a list of MLB players and their birthplaces here:
http://www.baseball-almanac.com/players/birthplace.php

For balance purposes, NeL’s are considered a separate entity (discussed below).

[b:f717505897]Franchise (Roster) Draft:[/b:f717505897]
Two managers for each region (see below).

Two-round serpentine. First round is region. Second round is ballpark.

[b:f717505897]Ballparks:[/b:f717505897] Must use a unique 2005 ballpark [u:f717505897]located within your region.[/u:f717505897] (NOTE: Internationals can choose ANY park from ANY region, OR any NeL park.)

[b:f717505897]The Regions[/b:f717505897]
Regions are geographical, with some shifting here and there to bring about balance in the player pools.

For the sake of balance ( and because philosophically they were considered “outsiders”) NeL’s are included with the International region. Though this region has the smallest birthpool, ALL the Nel’s are carded, which means there’s less rooting around for players (unlike the rest of us). In addition, the Internationals are not limited by Region for their ball park choices (see above).

Interesting . . . there are 42 players from Ireland, but none born in the 1900's...kind of sad to me, but what else is new?
