I ran across this while perusing Retrosheet. It provides detailed play by play for the game and also has a link to the rules used.

Good stuff. I once saw a group of reenactors play a game using the same rules, uniforms, and equipment as in the post Civil War era of baseball. Coincidentally, it was in Ft. Wayne, IN.

When a runner scored, his run was not official until he went over and rung a bell located off behind home plate.

Watched a similar re-enactment in Colorado about 10 years ago. Bell had to be rung for the run to count, fly-balls caught on one bounce were outs, there were no fences in the outfield and balls had to be run down if they went over the outfielder's head (though one speed demon tuned one of these into an out when the ball hit a pebble or something and took a weird high bounce and he made a diving catch before it could hit the ground again).
