Bernie please help with specialist

Several managers responded to yestersdays post that they have noticed the specialist role no longer automatically checks the appropriate boxes when used. This seems to have started about three months ago or around the time the new cards were started to be added.

I manually checked the boxes for last nights games and they didn't work properly. The pitcher was not pulled when the batter switched sides, neither did the quick hook as he gave up seven runs.

You are citing an entirely different issue now. Yes, the boxes are not automatically checked, but the quick hook and the L/R problems predate this.

Some other managers said to manually check the boxes so I tried it. Didn't think it would work but I tried it anyway.

All I want to know is now that the system no longer automatically checks the boxes for the specialist role what is the correct way to set them up?

The reason the "Avoid XHB" option is not automatically checked is because of a javascript error. It should be fixed, but it is separate from the back-end processing.

Check the boxes manually and move on. But just because you have checked a box does not mean that HAL will adhere to those preferences without exception.
