Based upon your [i:dcf5026e95]other[/i:dcf5026e95] thread title, I am going with George Herman "Babe" Ruth.

Totally different question :D

gb, if it had been [b:deb4d0ed78]McCArver[/b:deb4d0ed78], dont you think we would have heard about it on every baseball telecast for the past 30 years?

I know it's a Pirate....can't remember which. Either Wagner or Clemente.

It is surprising that we haven't heard more about it because Timmy [b:837166f72b]did[/b:837166f72b] hit an inside-the-park grand-slam in 1963 against the Mets. Just wasn't a walk-off. To think what we've been saved these 30 years....

Clemente's walk-off IP GS was on 7/25/1956, off of Jim Brosnan. It was the 3rd of four HR's Roberto hit from July 21st to July 28th, in a season in which he only hit 7 HR all year.

Also of note, the man behind him in the order was Dale Long, who earlier in the year had homered in every game the Pirates played between May 19th and May 28th, a streak of 8 games later matched by Don Mattingly. Long had also homered earlier in this game.
