SP9/RP5

I would like to use my SP/RP as a RP the day after he pitched a complete game. In other words, he pitched last night in a game 5 for a playoff game for 9 innings. Now, I would like to use him as my closer or set-up man for game 6 or 7. I thought he might be too fatigued/tired for a game 6 , but wasn't sure about using him in a RP role for game 7 (if necessary). He isn't scheduled to start again for the series. Has anyone tried this with any sucess.

I used Babe Adams as a starter/closer. He would close (at F0) in the game after his start. I do not know about the game after that, as he was always scheduled to start. He was very good that season, even at F0.

Conversation that belongs in another thread:
In retrospect: Got Adams into 49 games, assuming 33 starts, so 15 relief appearances with 8 saves, 1 blown. Not sure if I staggered Reulbach more than one start behind Adams, which would have maximized his R opportunities. I'm guessing I didn't.
I would do some things differently on this team now.
