"Invitation League: Weinberg vs. Petrosian" -> Individual League Chat Forum
"Petrosian - Weinberg rivalry" -> The Bullpen
"Weinberg (aka Minuteman) watch" -> The Bullpen
Once again, the relocation of these threads is not censorship; you are free to continue the conversation in them.
Once again, I am getting complaints from community members who are letting me know that all the vitriol in this Petrosian/Weinberg "rivalry" is poisoning the forums for them. I'd rather you didn't continue to fuel this spite-filled argument, but if you need to, please do so away from this main forum.
To those of you who would say, "If they don't like it, they don't have to click on it": while technically true, it's largely a matter of principle. They don't like just knowing in theory that it's going on, and don't want to be constantly reminded of it while browsing other topics in the forum. I can't say I blame them.
To those of you who would say, "At least it's interesting": I definitely acknowledge that it's brought out some passion, and there's a lot of good in that. But ultimately it's not worth the cost.
If you're looking for things to talk about, I'l be posting some positive things in the coming weeks.
To those of you who would say, "There's some valid gameplay debate in there": yes there is. And I'd be fine with having those debates if they didn't start out with, and wouldn't be closely linked to, the nastiness.
I'm glad that it looks like the "rivalry" has stoked the fire of a new competitive league that some are looking forward to. That's great. Go have fun, settle it on the field, and chatter away in the Individual League Chat forum, to where I've moved the main league thread.
Please, I repeat (and I wish I didn't have to):
[b:f31e16fdd4]Seriously guys, play nice, and let's do our best to elevate the mood and level of civility around here.[/b:f31e16fdd4]
Thanks.
