At long last I have a team in contention - but they've been slumping lately and I was hoping I might get some advice - bullpen roles, lineup, whatever - to get them back on track for the rest of the season and to paraphrase Coach Moira (sic?) ........PLAYOFFS?!?!

But I'm not familiar what, where or how to copy the team here for review?

I know it's $140M - but you're wasting a ton of resources on two expensive RH specialists.

22 innings from Sosa and Drabowsky? Not worth it.

The rest of the team looks OK, you're doing well, no need to rock the boat. Teams slump, but usually pull out of it if the roster is solid. Your goal should be 90 wins. That should guarantee at least a wild card, and you never know what'll happen once the playoffs begin. Congrats on a fine team, and good luck!

Well - I could dump one or the other and pick up what - a better hitting reserve?

Your last 36 games will be against division opponents. If they are heavily weighted toward RH hitters, you're probably OK. But if you'll be facing a lot of LH hitters or balanced lineups, I'd look at upgrading Koufax to the more expensive 1L version or upgrading Catfish for someone else better suited to you home park and opposing lineups.

Your team has been going 3-6 in the last 9 games, and your record is still 65-46. All your starters are winning. If your team was 46-65, dump them all and rename the team "Lazy Daisy Ranchers"... Oh, what is Hilton Smith's role??? He seems to be the weak spot in the pitching...
You are still going strong.... I wouldn't put too much money in a reserve hitter since it is a DH league. Keep most of the bucks in the starting lineup. Good luck with the season....

No.....it isn't a DH league, so Blanchard (not even hitting much for average) is my only strong reserve.

And Hilton Smith is my secondary closer behind Schultz, and primary setup and middle man.

Well, one team has Stargell, another - Barry Steroids, Cano and Lynn, and the third only Brett.

Would you think that would warrant a change for either of those pitchers?

If that's the case, you're probably fine. You could spot-start H Smith instead of Hunter against the team with three LH hitters.

OK - what about dropping either Sosa or Drabowsky and picking up a more potent reserve?
