I think I've only used him once. Hell, too many teams I can't remember. :) Anyways, this is the lineup I'm thinking about. Can he hit cleanup vs righties?
Lineup vs. LHP
1. Chance, Frank (R) 1B
2. McCosky, Barney (L) LF
3. Wagner, Honus (R) SS
4. Furillo, Carl (R) RF
5. Alou, Felipe (R) CF
6. Cochrane, Mickey (L) C
7. Steinfeldt, Harry (R) 3B
8. Fox, Nellie (L) 2B
9. Pitcher P

I try to get him on nuetral teams I am playing every time. I have had him in the #2 hole before and he was very effective but he is ALWAYS effective. I have had him hit in the #6 hole as well. I don't see him as a cleanup hitter myself.

I've used Cochrane a lot in both ATG and ATG II. 6th seems to suit him well.

Here's testament to Cochrane's ability to knock in runs.
If I had this team (a good one, btw) here's how I'd bat them:
Lineup vs. LHP
1. Chance, Frank (R) 1B
2. Steinfeldt, Harry (R) 3B
3. McCosky, Barney (L) LF
4. Wagner, Honus (R) SS
5. Furillo, Carl (R) RF
6. Cochrane, Mickey (L) C
7. Alou, Felipe (R) CF
8. Fox, Nellie (L) 2B
9. Pitcher P

Not always, Dean. This was in Sportsmans 46; not worth his salary here:

I hear ya Randy. I have actually had him more in Westside than Sportsman but I would use the guy in any nuetral or small park.

Adrian...WOW!!! What a season 125 ribbies. I was glad to see Derringer have a nice season also. I'm using him for the 1st on this team also. I like your lineup suggestion. I use McCosky alot at 1 or 2. Never tried him at 3. He justs hits and hits and hits....
