New Team - Thoughts?

Advice appreciated. Haven't figured lineups as yet. Other parks in division are Minute Maid (05), Fulton County (78), and Busch (67).

well, you do not need a back up at 3B, weaver is bulletproof. i do not think pudge is a good fit in your park.

Honestly, I have been agonizing over that very concern all weekend. I like Schalk and even Sundberg for about 1/2 the price and upgrade DH and/or LF.

sanguillen has always been a good catcher for me at that cap. i would keep sewell for the DH spot and upgrade LF.

Sewell is a nice weapon in a singles park. I use him often at DH even in a HR park since you need people on for the big guns to knock in.

Reading these boards is a necessity to be competitive. I am not really a rookie. I just started playing again and logged in under a different name to take advantage of 2 teams for $14.95.

What is your opinion on taking out I-Rod for Schalk, Sanguillen, or Sundberg? I could then upgrade Maddux or upgrade LF.

If you add up the balance ratings of your starting lineup, you are a net of 12L. This is way too far out of balance. A C that really rocks in small-ball is Biz Mackey; you can swap out Bagwell for a more balanced 1B (is Sisler available?) and use the extra cash for Biz. Or, as noted by others, go for a cheaper C and upgrade LF.
