Trade value of Smoltz?

I have a team that is preseason. I have Smoltz with a relatively strong bullpen of Rivera, Schultz, Miljus, and Marshall in a 200 mil league.

So I am thinking maybe Smoltz could bring me something. Right now prewaivers my starting pitching is bad enough Smoltz would be my ace if I keep him as a starter and waivers not likely to change that. Good chance though if someone traded for him they would do so with plans to use him from bullpen.

So question is what kind of value would be fair to insist on in return?

His value to them as a reliever? 5.25
Or his value to me as a starter? 9.36

Its fair if you fill someones need and at the same time you fill your own. I dont see trades as necessarly geting equal value but rather filling a need without creating a hole.

I personally value many of the $5M+ relievers as a $9M+ starter. I try to make a trade that is of similar value using that as my guideline.
