Done with strat?

Postby motherscratcher » Fri Mar 09, 2012 11:11 pm

I appologize. I may be unable to complete my current teams and commitments. Not by choice.

I'm a Cleveland Browns fan. With the news that St Loiuis has traded the #2 pick to Washington things have taken a bleak turn. RG3 is apparently off the table.

It is a distinct possibility that I will have drunk myself to death by morning. If that were to happen, at least I will have done it with Dogfish Head 90 Minute Ale, and Great Lakes Doppel Rock.

My one regret will have been not living long enough to see Dan Snyder die in a fire.

Goodbye cruel world.

Yeah this sucks, being a Browns fan and having this happen.

Not sure what I did to deserve this kind of treatment from the sports Gods. I mean growing up I ate my vegetable, held doors for old ladies, never picked on girls or fat kids, got good grades and went to first Friday mass through out my entire time in grade school (which we were told it was a guarantee to get into Heaven).

I can't think of any reason why....oh wait, I do remember telling God if we could come back and win the Jets game in 86 I'd never ask for anything again.

This is all Elway's fault.

As a St. Louis boy, I wonder if Stan Kroenke can get convicted of Trade Rape.

Three number ones and a second round pick to move up four spots ! Sounds like the Rams are making one heck of a trade.

Sometimes billionaire owners/GMs who act like children work out well for their teams (see: Cuban, Mark), and sometimes they don't (see: Snyder, Daniel).

Hang on!

It's not all that bad. All we have to do is check out how the Brownies have done with first round QB picks since their return.

Plus, we can still get Manning. Rick should be available in the third round.

As a Redskins fan (but definitely not a Snyder fan, nor particularly a Shanahan fan), I confess I was tempted to hurl my Strat dice at the computer when I read news of the trade.

Only time will tell whether this trade will go down as a total wreck, or a great move. In 5 years or so, Skins fans will know. Is Griffin a franchise QB? He certainly has all the tools, but the NFL is littered with the corpses of great, athletic college QBs who never made the transition to the pro game. Washington sure gave up a ton to move up to get him.
