The team batting record really surprised me. Only two low-priced backups had batting averages below .300. The team was designed to be a "Super Reliever" team with 75-80% spent on offense, that lived or died on its ability to outscore the other team after falling behind early.

Looking at your rotation, everyone is pretty even. Whyndid you make that choice rather than go with some heavily slanted R and L starters that you could matchup?

motherscratcher - there was no grand plan regarding starting pitchers. Post waivers I had about 5 million to spend on starting pitchers so I went to the DD database and found the best values for RC/27 allowed in the $1 million price range for pitchers rated S5 or S6. All I wanted my SPs to do was keep the score close enough through 4 to 6 innings, let Murray and Sutter take over, then outscore the other team in the late innings.

I consider an ERA of 7.15 for that starting staff to be an overwhelming success.

When I use a super reliever I usually quick hook everyone, set the reliever on slow hook F0, and put him at closer , set up and middle relief.
What settings did you use with two super relievers?

Murray at F3, primary at middle-man, mop-up, behind/late, and closer.
Sutter at F5, primary at tied/late, tied/9th, and set-up.

If I fall behind early, Murray gets the first call out of the bullpen.
If it's close or I'm ahead, Sutter gets the nod, then Murray closes it out.

All starters are quick hook, max 6 IP.
Other 2 RP were LH and RH specialist with quick hook, avoid before 8th, 1/2 IP max.
