Hack in CF?

I know this has been discussed before, but with no search...

Anyway, the cheap Hack Wilson is a 3(0)e6 which is equivalent to about a 2e21. But he does have that bat....

Here are my options--
1. Hack in CF with the cheaper Delahanty in LF (love that card!) and V. Law as an SP or

2. Expensive Delahanty in CF (1(-3)e9), with Vosmik in LF and Bernhard as SP.

Playing in Griffith '24.

Rest of lineup is

C- Cochrane
1B- Suttles
2B- Cano
3B- Beckwith
SS Wagner (cheaper one)
RF- P.Waner

Other SPs- Beazley, Kaat, Tiant

I know what I SHOULD do, but my offensive machine teams have spoiled me somewhat, to the point where I'm actually considering a 3 in CF!! What has become of me!?!

Here is a Hack that is playing CF. Team is leading in offense and ERA.(though I expect that to change)

same here, team isn't doing all that well but he's doing fine and this is the more expensive card...

Nice. Those are both Minute Maid. Griffith isn't exactly the best park for Mr. Wilson. I'm sure he would still produce, but would it be enough to make up for the lack of range and arm?

If it were me I would pass on Hack in Griffith. I try to justify his lack of defence with his great offense. Griffith takes some of that offense away.

That's definitely the way I'm leaning. But I've been corrupted by the offensive dark side...

I can't believe you're going to try Beckwith, Cano, Suttles, and Hack in Griffith 24. At about $.2 million per ballpark HR on the card, you're spotting the rest of the league half of about $11 million, or 5.5 million in salary. And you're trashing your defense for the privilege of doing so.

It's a keeper league with a limited player pool, so there are fewer choices.

I don't worry about 1B/3B defense that much, and Beckwith and Suttles hit anywhere.

Cano did well for me last season, and you can't beat that defense.

I just can't do Wilson in CF. IF this were a pure offense team, then I would do it, but it's not, and I'm in Griffith. Delahanty will patrol CF. Sure would like to try his other card, though...
