Instead of giving us Fantasim cards that don't reflect actual performance, there are a bunch of cards in the '70's game that would be impact players in ATG:
Geronimo 76, 74
Lezcano 79
Cowens 77
Otto Velez (year he killed righties)
Earl Williams 72
Beckert 71
Thornton (several years)
R. Jackson 75
Parker 78
W. Parker 70
Garr 73
M. Alou 1969, 1970
just to name a few off the top of my head. A good Matlack year would be nice as well.
It would be child's play to get these guys into ATG next week. The '76 Geronimo card alone will be a big boost to small ball.

in general I would agree cards from 70s game much preferable to fantasim cards that seem only vaguely tied to reality.

am also anti fanta sim cards-
my issue being that the stats in relation to their cards dont match similar stats on others cards; not that we expect it to be exact, but Ill take 'in the ballpark'...

I don't fully understand WHY there is a problem with Fantasim batter cards in the first place, but there clearly is a problem translating those particular seasons for hitters into SOM ATG. You can compensate for the error by inflating the salaries, but that's pointless for 140M, 200M and Live Draft leagues.
So we're better off keeping these unrealistic Fantasim "hitter cards on steroids" out of the mix, and should seriously consider dropping the ones already in the player pool like Arky and Dickey.
I haven't heard anyone complain about pitchers from the Fantasim card set. Why is that?

I think it is because there is only so much you can do to inflate the performance of a pitcher. Once the legitimate card reflecting actual stats is good enough to have few or no hits/walks not much you can remove from that card to make it superhuman like HRs were added to the Arky card.
On the one hand you have hitter cards that will produce triple the HRs it should but none of the introduced fantasim pitcher cards are going to triple the strikeouts, etc.
But while on the subject I would prefer no more pitcher fantasim cards either. And if I could be so bold would have the added request of new pitcher cards from super advanced seasons.

Which seasons are "Super Advanced"? You make it sound like some are, some aren't.
Can we assume all years past a certain date are Super Advanced?

Cannot assume that based on years.
You will also see super advanced years referred to as cadillac seasons with the rest being chevy seasons.
In the beginning all cards were simple single sided cards that ignored left handed and right handed. These were referred to as basic. Then one year strato started having the cards with sides for left and right handed based on their stats. I think these were referred to as advanced.
Many past seasons were created with this model but were computer generated. You can often recognize them by their characteristics. Pitcher cards from these sets tend to be balance E and have gb(C) readings on the cards.
Then strato introduced new features which included things like basing each side of the card on real life L/R stats. gb(A) was added to pitcher cards to reflect their ability to induce ground balls. Correspondingly gb(A) occurred less on hitters cards to reflect that some double plays would come off pitchers cards.
They did not however go back and recreate all the past seasons they had created up to that point. They have only went back and redone some of the seasons. Supposedly more effort is put in to creation of these seasons to reflect usage of the super advanced rules. Vast majority of these cards will have gb(A) on the cards. See 1934 version of Dizzy Dean or 1920 version of Coveleski.
If you are purchasing the season disks from strato for these various seasons you can recognize them from the price. The computer generated seasons are cheaper than the super advanced versions.
So to sum it up the super advanced card seasons are in theory designed from the ground up to function with the super advanced rules preferred by most gamers and used by our game engine. The computer generated seasons while useable with the super advanced rules are compatible but do not make full use of super advanced features.
