[quote:54bc6f5381="tomwistar"]I'm hardly an expert, but I just tried the new Coombs card. Terrible WHIP for 9 million; he gives up almost as many hits as the similarly priced Chesbro and Joss, plus a ton more walks. At least that was my experience.
I'm curious if anyone has had a good season with the new Blackwell.[/quote:54bc6f5381]
I see your point, but aren't there often very specific traits that play a part in pricing?
I'm using that Coombs in 200mil, he's doing fine, not great numbers but not stinking up the joint, again 200mil where he could have ugly numbers. He has zero HRs on his card and only two 1-1 dice roll chances at extra base hits.
Doesn't all that come into play in setting his price? I mean yeah there sure looks like better pitchers for the same price, but can't that be said for dozens of pitchers?
