Sporting News has announced on the mlb forum here that these forums will shut down April 6th. I assume all strat parts will go there..........does it mean the transfer will be done then?????? Many of the unused for some time forums disappeared today.

Yeah, I just saw that too.
[quote:f9a84b31d3="sn-moderator"]The MLB News forum will be closing on April 6. Sporting News has continued to operate this forum site in support of our Strat-O-Matic players, but as that game is moving to strat-o-matic.com, we will be shutting down the forums entirely when the move is completed.

This seems to imply that the move to SOM.com will be completed by April 6.
Good for the game, but bad for me.
My company has blocked all "games" sites, so any sites that include the word "games" in its keywords or URL are blocked. Apparently, however, if games is within a word (e.g., fantasygames, like here), it's not blocked.
So, no more SOM at work for me... :(

.....I suppose though they could shut the other forums down on the 6th and continue to run the strat forums for a bit here before transitioning them over there.

I only have a dumb phone (tracphone with a broken antenna).
Maybe someday I will get up to speed and have a real mobile phone.
But I would probably have to give up my Strat addiction to afford one.

It would be nice if they provided a transition period where the current forums stayed up while we migrated to new forums.
Also wonder about the significance of that post only being made on the MLB News forum. Is it only that forum that is going away or all forums on this site? If all why not a notification on all. Also note that I have posted on the MLB News forum this morning so it is not shut down.
It will be interesting because I have heard the moderators on the strato forums are less tolerant than those here have been.

The MLB forum is definitely gone. Sad. It was fun to talk baseball there.
