Mathews is putting up Bonds type numbers for me and was wondering if this is going to be the norm for the card. I'm not playing in very many leagues right now since his new card came out so I was hoping managers can post some other examples good or bad.

Great numbers, but I'll take Beckwith for 2 mil less and put up the same, or better, numbers.

Playing in Ameriquest '05, $100m cap. At the half way point (81 games), the '53 Mathews leads the league in HRs (47), RBI (101), SLG% (.854) and is second in OPS (1.261 to Vaughans 1.262). Is batting .312. He's a monster!

Petro, you fail to mention the plethora of hall of fame relief pitchers recently added. 100 mil leagues could have at least one and maybe more hall of fame relievers. 200 mil leagues every team could have 2 or 3 super relievers. Dale murray is being used 200 to 300 innings a season. People vehemently complain about arky. Napster and eddie and want cards removed but no one has asked for super relievers to be removed or strategies to be deprogramed, in my most recent 200 mil goldrush we are seeing zero increases in league wide OPS. WHIP or ERA. Maybe hal has balanced the additions. We now have a stud defensive 2b option for every team now with bret boone and knoblauchs new card added with jackie robinsons new card. CF also has many more great defenders with some pop. I am not complainin. I want an 11 mil Pop Lloyd card and a 11 mil smokey joe williams card that's what they deserve. I don't think that's gonna happen.[/u]

That's not gonna happen because their play doesn't merit it, as nearly as SOM can crunch what numbers exist. If you want them, start compiling stats for them that disprove the current career stats, as that's what SOM worked from.
I suppose we could price the current cards for SJ Williams and Pop Lloyd at $11M and that'd give you one interpretation of what you want. But I don't think anyone would use them.
