I'm rooting for him.

[quote:7375aac0d1]Moyer's pitches range from 80 mph (his heater) to 70 mph (three-fingered changeup) and 65 mph (breaking ball). Consider it slow, slower and slowest.[/quote:7375aac0d1]

This article has him pegged as the Rockies" number 2 starter! I'm rooting for him, too.

I think he threw Babe Ruth's final home run.

I'm rooting for him, too! But then again, I am a Rockies fan. I do have to say that I hope Moyer's making the club has more to do with his ability than the state of the Rockies starting pitching. He is to pitch the second game of the season.

He needs to call up Tim Wakefield and have him show him how to throw the knuckler. He could probably pitch until he's 60 if he could add that to his arsenal. :)

Hard not to root for him. I have to admit if I was mid 40s and was told I needed surgury to continue my career followed by extensive rehab probably would have sought a coaching job. Or made ESPN analyst a full time career.

But he has worked his way back.

Moyer's getting the start tonight vs. the not-so-fearsome Astros. If he wins, he'll be the oldest ever to win a game in the majors, older than Satchel Paige, and older than that former HS teacher RP with the Devil Rays (Disney turned his story into a movie starring Dennis Quaid).

went to high school only 15 mins down the road from me in Souderton pa.
Saw him when I was in Sea, and of course as a Phillie.
He throws so slow the batters fall asleep before they can swing lol
