When do you hit eject?

When do you hit eject?

My team is currently 8-10 and two games back so no need to panic, but my offense is struggling to score. I'm last in runs scored by a 20+ run margin, and have been shutout in my last three games.

One of the main culprits is Larry Walker (I missed out on Ruth, and was awarded Walker in the autodraft), and the fact Ty Cobb has been injured for the last six games. It seems clear I need more offensive balance, so my question is: is 18 games in, too early to jettison some of these guys? Or should I hold out for a bit longer with the hope they get it going?

Edit: Does Rube Marquard always suck this badly?

Go to [b:ae264bfe06]Statistics[/b:ae264bfe06], then [b:ae264bfe06]Team[/b:ae264bfe06], then click your team in the teams list. Then copy that url

link is good......

You are playing in a LH homer park. Where is anybody in your lineup who takes advantage of your park?

If I'm reading it correctly, left-handed hitters have the easiest chance at hitting HR's. I thought that would be Larry Walker, and to a lesser extent Robin Ventura. I have Kaline, and Canseco for the more nuetral road games. Do I have it backward?

No, your LHHs should thrive in that park. And, although Walker has started slowly for you, I would keep him. He generally does very well for me. He gives you great D, speed, and he will come around at the plate. He has obviously had bad rolls. Facing RHHs, he has over 37 points of hits on his card, [i:7079cbed9d]excluding[/i:7079cbed9d] any BP effects. Now, if he is facing a lot of LHPs, that will depress his results, as he has a little less than 27 points of hits vs LHPs. He's not [i:7079cbed9d]bad[/i:7079cbed9d] vs LHPs, just much better vs RHPs. I am currently using L. Walker in Fenway '67, a huge slugging park for both hitting sides. I am platooning Walker with G. Roenicke. After 123 games, Walker is hitting .356 with 37 HRs and 96 RBI in 360 ABs. Roenicke is hitting .286 with 9 HRs and 30 RBI in 161 ABs. So, 46 HRs and 126 RBI between them. Anyway, Walker is a great fit for your park. IMO, in your park, I would want 3 or 4 LH sluggers. You have Walker, and Ventura, who hardly qualifies as a real slugger. I would want guys like McCovey, R. Howard, Yaz., etc. You have Walker, and that's about it. Kluz. (real nice to have if you face a lot of LHPs), Thome, the $5.38 Reggie Jackson, Trosky, J. Blanchard, etc. are some guys under $7m that would crush in your park, as well. Good luck.

Not this time they wouldn't. I have four hard lefty starters in his division. Nev is also in that division and he has two lefties --in Shea '71.

Sort of like a baptism --by fire.

It sucks for sure. And Larry Walkers card hates me. We're getting out of divisional play for awhile, so hopefully my lineup gets healthy, and the pitching holds up.
