Is there a computer version of the game available for the Mac?

And if not, can someone recommend a good similar-based strategy game for the Mac?

I think you have no option but to run the CD Rom version using parallels. It sucks--same boat.

Parallells or VMWare are applications that run on Mac that launch a Windows environment. You can then install any Windows based apps on the Mac and run them in Windows mode.

Around $50 for the software and then the cost for the Windows OS to install on it. I've always had install CDs for windows around somewhere so never needed to buy it.

All true...and I didn't mean to imply Parallels is required, because with Intel macs Boot Camp is included with the Mac and can enable you to run windows (have to buy the Win OS). I have heard Parallels is better and that was my first reaction.

I don't run any Win s/w on my macs because in comparison it is obese code that keeps getting bigger, clunky, and unstable.
