Haven't played much over the last few months and was hoping to get some general impressions about some newer cards. In a theme league and was wondering about the value of Jim Edmonds, the Pujols cards, and the high ticket Tanana, Tudor, D Chance and Willie McGee cards.

Playing in a neutral park.

Thanks in advance guys!!

I asked about McGee recently ... the thread is at the bottom of the first page of posts (for right now). Lots of positive feedback on him. Can't speak to the others.

I've had no luck at all with Edmondsin several tries, but some with Tudor. Haven't tried Tanana or Chance yet, but am more than willing to try McGee, who helped me to win a Rotisserie league that year.

Used Chance once in a 100M franchise theme league in a pitchers park, and he won 24 games with a 3.20 ERA. Edmonds delivers below average value for the price, but can put up decent #s if nothing else is available.

I used Edmonds in a $140 league and he did pretty well. In Stars Park, not a full blown LH HR park, he went .277 .381 .607 with 51 HRs. A 1 defensively and -2 arm, had only 6 errors all season.

I tried him one other time in another $140 league and the numbers weren't as good: .250 .350 .523 and only 36 dingers in Shea, and that was in 160 games. You'd think he'd have better HR #s in this park but there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to this game.

Mcgee is an absolute beast although I can't imagine he's nearly as good at higher caps. Still a bonafide average hitter at a real small price.

I think I've only used Pujols once but I've always liked the game of all three of his cards, probably the expensive one the most.

Well... I am def going to go with McGee over Edmonds in CF... been scratchin my head as to the $$ on Edmonds card anyway... didn't seem to make sense for a 15 injury risk guy.

Lineup in Neutral Busch.... 50/50 LH/RH starters. Oak/StL/Cal franchises

LF- Rickey
CF- McGee
1B- Pujols
DH- McGwire
RF- Reggie
3B- DeCinces
2B - Grich
C - Simmons/Downing/McCarver (choice)
SS- Ozzie

Not sure which cards yet... gotta measure out cap space in $120cap.

Ozzie never does anything for me...personally think there are better options in the price range that will deliver more for you, such as Tammell, Jeter, Appling (not as good a fielder as the others, but MAN what a hitter!)...

Gotten solid numbers from Tanana, McGee, Chance & Tudor. Never used Edmonds and had a few big seasons from the $9.69 Pujols.
