How does Augustine get the win here?

Because years ago, when a P left the game before the 5th inning, the official scorer had discretion on who got the win. They don't do that anymore, but this gamer system does

Official scorer still has discretion to assign win to any relief pitcher who in their opinion pitched best when the starter does not go 5. It is not awarded to whomever pitches the most innings. It becomes a judgement call of who the official scorer thought was most effective. In this case Augustine gave up 0 runs.
I doubt the logic HAL uses there is very complicated. Many more areas to concentrate your programming time.

Valen's right on.
In fact in MLB, some closers have been brought in "in save situations" but did not receive the save because the official scorer deemed the closer having had the best performance and thus got the win instead.
