buford in leftfield?

any thoughts of using him in baker bowl? i have a outfield of s. rice g thoma and ott. considering rice drop to use buford with his high obp. thoughts?

Although, I think Buford would do well for you, I believe you're just as well off with Rice. I would lead off Chance or Ott.

Buford's best value is the very low DPs on his card, which makes him a good #2 hitter and his price, durability and low efactor.
However, despite all his walks, I have rarely had him OBP anything near his card, his BA is almost always below .280, have him hit .240a couple of times.
then of course, is the one exception where he hit 23 HRs and knocked in 75 runs....

conclusion: if you are short on cash, need a LF in the #2 slot with low dps, he is your guy. If any of the above are not, look elsewhere.

IMO in your park, Buford is better than Rice.
